I am photographer Sabrina Albæk from Sonderborg, and my passion is creating portraits that reveal the genuine personality behind the face. With experience since 2012 and a KPP photography education completed in 2015, I focus on portrait photography where presence and naturalness are at the heart of every session. My starting point is simple: great images happen when people feel safe and can be themselves. What sets my portrait photography apart is the calm atmosphere I prioritise. My studio is small and cosy—a home studio where many people feel more at ease—but I also enjoy working outdoors or in your own home if that better suits your expression and setting. My daily work as a pedagogue has given me patience and a special ability to meet children and adults where they are; this skill benefits every portrait situation, especially when clients feel shy or uncertain in front of the camera. My working process is personal and informal. Before a session I always have a short conversation with you about wishes, style and the mood you want for your portrait. During the shoot I make room for quiet moments, I don’t rush from pose to pose, and I talk with you throughout to create natural, lively expressions. For families and portraits with children this means extra time for talking and play—this is when the small, honest moments appear that make an image come alive. I work carefully with post-processing so the images achieve a clean, timeless look in both colour and black & white.
