My name is Kasper Lau and I run Lau Fotografi from a studio in Højbjerg, Aarhus. As a specialist portrait photographer I focus on creating images that not only look good but honestly reflect the person in front of the camera. My approach is down-to-earth and attentive: I listen to your wishes, suggest directions for expression and create a calm environment so even the most camera-shy person can feel at ease. My work covers portrait photography in a broad sense — from classic headshots to personal portraits. I have extensive experience with corporate and staff portraits, where the aim is to convey trust and professionalism, and I also enjoy working on creative model shoots or more intimate, personal expressions. Each session is tailored to its purpose: LinkedIn profiles require a different look than a creative portfolio image, and I plan accordingly to achieve the right result. The process is simple and collaborative. Before the shoot we clarify style and goals so studio time is used efficiently. The studio in Højbjerg offers space and facilities for various backdrops and lighting setups, and I’m also available to shoot on location when the situation calls for it. During the session I work calmly and purposefully — guiding without pressure; my goal is to bring out natural moments and authentic expressions rather than staging artificial poses. After the shoot I review the material carefully and perform the necessary post-processing so the images perform strongly both digitally and in print. My retouching approach is meticulous and respectful of personality: images receive a professional finish while individual character is preserved.
